Watoto Family
An app for vetted mentor households in the Watoto Digital Family Hub programme. It keeps a household in touch with the children of the Watoto home it mentors, through voice notes, messages and video calls started by the house mother.
Who can use it
Only adults who have been vetted by Watoto and assigned to a home. Accounts are created by the Watoto programme team; there is no public sign-up.
Safe by design
Every conversation happens inside the programme, is recorded in an audit log, and can be reviewed by Watoto's safeguarding team. Children use a shared tablet in their home, never a phone.
